Goal 1: Enhance education opportunities that deliver effective education, training and employment pathways for our youth aged 10-19 years.
Strategy 1.1 Enhance awareness of youth employment opportunities.
Strategy 1.2 Ignite the career aspirations of young people.
Strategy 1.3 Commission research, and consolidate and utlise available data on the information, learning and engagement needs of young people in the MMLLEN footprint.
Strategy 1.4 Embed the roll out/implementation of alternative education models e.g. the FLO programs.
Goal 2: A well prepared entry-level workforce of young people to support the development of the local and regional economy.
Strategy 2.1 Increase the capability of schools and training organisations to understand the business needs in relation to employment and training.
Strategy 2.2 Deliver effective pathways to employment in local priority and other industries.
Strategy 2.3 Identify education and training needs and advocate for funding for business/industry support programs.
Goal 3: Parents and families closely engaged in the education, training and career decision making of their children.
Strategy 3.1 Provide improved understanding of pathway options for young people.
Strategy 3.2 Identify the needs of young people for support and assistance from their parents and families.
Strategy 3.3 Identify the needs of parents and carers to assist their children to achieve their aspirations through education, training and employment.
Goal 4: A strong and cohesive community working together for the benefit of all young people.
Strategy 4.1 Harness community groups to support young people to aspire to and achieve their goals and improve their education, training and employment outcomes.
Strategy 4.2 Promote understanding of the role of MMLLEN, its activities and achievements.
