The ASPIRE Project will provide each young person with information and inspiration into the world of careers and what they need to do to make these careers a reality.

The ASPIRE Project will support young people to:

  • explore the huge and exciting range of careers available to them
  • identify their strengths and interests by exposing them to hands on learning opportunities and
    exploring who they are and what they want their futures to look like

The program offers multiple parts that we can tailor to suit the students needs including;

The ASPIRE Program focuses on building core executive function skills that help us succeed in school, work, and relationships:

  • Self-Control: Learning to pause, reflect, and make thoughtful choices
  • Working Memory: Holding and using information to solve problems and complete tasks
  • Flexible Thinking: Adapting to new situations and seeing challenges from different angles

These skills are essential for navigating life’s complexities and are foundational for lifelong learning and success.

Students are also encouraged to imagine their future lives — not just what they want to do, but who they want to be. This kind of visioning helps them connect their current learning to future goals, increasing motivation and engagement in school.

In addition, the My Future Program empowers students to explore the reasons why people work, identify their personal strengths, and research a wide range of career options. By connecting self-awareness with career exploration, the program helps young people make informed choices about their future pathways.

The ASPIRE Project is a valuable experience designed to ignite curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to a world of future career possibilities.

At this pivotal stage in students’ development, this journey goes beyond career exploration; ASPIRE is about planting seeds of possibility, encouraging young people to dream big, stay curious, and imagine themselves thriving in a future they help shape.

The ASPIRE Program is bought to your school by the Murray Mallee Local Learning and Employment Network (MMLLEN) and will be delivered by facilitators Fi Mertz and Jan Hickmott.
