The Murray River Culinary Challenge is an invitational event to regional schools that border the Murray River. Schools from both NSW and Victoria are encouraged to participate.
The Murray River Culinary Challenge is considered a major annual event for schools and is recognised as a prestigious event by students, trainers, teachers, school principal’s chefs and hospitality establishments.
It provides young people in regional centres across Victoria and NSW river regions with the opportunity to work with industry professionals and mentors to enhance their knowledge of the hospitality sector and test their vocational skills against their peers.
The culinary challenge is a partnership program with LLENs and Structured Workplace Learning Programs in Swan Hill, Shepparton, Echuca, Wodonga and Wangaratta.
The challenge is highly regarded by the hospitality industry as an opportunity to mentor and encourage young aspiring chefs to work in the industry.
It is an amazing opportunity to showcase the regions local produce and hospitality venues to the teams from across the Murray region.
The Murray Mallee LLEN is excited and proud to annually facilitate a professional and highly regarded industry standard event that is strongly supported by the education, training and hospitality sectors.
