Murray Mallee LLEN in partnership with headspace Swan Hill, facilitated an Ignite Their Futures Information Session to guide parents and guardians to further support their students’ success!

The information session was facilitated in line with headspace’s “Work and Study Month” in March which is a national event shining a light on the important link between work, study and the important contribution to young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

This was a fantastic opportunity for parents/guardians and the community to come along to an information session and find out more about the local support they have to ignite their children’s futures and support their students on their pathway to success!

Attendees on the night were educated by our fantastic panel speakers about the VCE Vocational Major, work experience, Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) placements, School-Based Apprenticeships & Traineeships (SBATs), work and study resources along with the pathways available to young people and how parents can support their children in gaining industry experience and work-related skills to promote and encourage strong future career pathway outcomes from school to work.

Each panelists brought their own unique insights to the night and we are very appreciative of their time and support in our School To Work events. They were so engaging and informative for local parents/guardians to understand how they can further support their children in gaining industry experience and work-related skills to promote and encourage strong future career pathway outcomes from school to work.

We would like to thank everyone in attendance on the night for coming along and supporting this fantastic event, a special thank you to our wonderful speakers on the night and thank you to Swan Hill Club for hosting the event.

This information session was supported by local panelists including MMLLEN, headspace Swan Hill, Head Start, Pooles Accountants & Tax Specialists, Kerang Technical High School and Country Universities Centre Mallee.
